Canvas Integration Help
Complete walkthrough for generating Canvas access tokens with detailed instructions.
Before You Start
To connect Canvas to Edubond, you'll need to generate a personal access token from your Canvas account. This process is safe and gives you complete control over what information is shared.
Generating Your Canvas Token
- 1Log into your school's Canvas portal using your regular credentials
- 2Click on "Account" in the left navigation menu
- 3Select "Settings" from the Account menu
- 4Scroll down to "Approved Integrations" section
- 5Click the "+ New Access Token" button
- 6Enter "Edubond" as the purpose/description
- 7Set an expiration date (we recommend 1 year for convenience)
- 8Click "Generate Token" to create your access token
- 9Copy the generated token immediately (it won't be shown again)
- 10Return to Edubond and paste the token when prompted

Your access token is like a password - keep it secure! Never share it with anyone other than trusted applications like Edubond. You can revoke tokens at any time from your Canvas settings.
Different Canvas Interfaces
Some schools customize their Canvas interface, so the screens might look slightly different than our examples. Look for "Account" or your profile icon, then "Settings" to find the token generation area.
